Today, at Planet Singer, we have the great pleasure of discovering more about this talented artist in an exclusive interview!

Hi Anastasia, it is such a pleasure having you with us today at Planet Singer. Your music reflects your strength and incredible talent; your lyrics are inspiring and motivating! Let’s start from the beginning. When and how did you discover your passion for music?

I grew up listening to the radio and translating songs from English to Russian for my great-grandmom and realized that I really enjoyed music and started to teach myself to dance and write.

Growing up, you have been through many challenges and obstacles; this never stopped you. Where do you find your motivation and inspiration?

I had a lot of support from my great grandmom and great grandpop as well as my grandmom and Duane, who is like my dad.

Your music is brilliant, both from the songwriting point of view and performance aspect. In your debut single, “Damn,” we can feel all your passion and how important it is for you to deliver a strong message to your listeners. Can you tell us more about this song?

“Damn” was my first serious release written and produced by Abe Stewart and was written about the first crushes we have in life.

How important is it for you to work with the right producers? Do you follow every step of trust them completely when it comes to creating your music?

A good producer can make or break your song with the wrong production, but the most trust is in yourself and your team for the best results. That does include the producer.

Can you reveal your creative process?

Haha. I really don’t have one. I write down all thoughts relevant to me or something that had an impact and then sit down and take all those notes to see what I can come up with.

Your voice is fantastic. Have you ever attended singing lessons, or are you a natural talent?

Thank you so much for that; I have had lessons throughout the years, but for the most part, it’s me.

Your life story is inspiring and powerful. Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, OHSU, The Rajaratnam Foundation, you are also ambassador to the SOS Foundation and SOS Tour of 2020. Is there any advice you would give to kids with a passion for music but experience what you lived in the past?

Don’t ever give up. Don’t ever let your past define who you are. Strive to be the best you can be. Be good to others and yourself, and know that you are never alone.

Your second single, “Up In Smoke,” is another powerful song, great production, and once again, your performance is outstanding. Can you tell us more about this song? Is it somehow connected to your first release?

NO, this song is the beginning of my true passion, which is EDM, and the start of my wanting to write songs for a Dj and be a feature on a song.

What are your plans for the future?

Haha. To be on the EDM stage!
