The Heard Eye’s journey began in the summer of 2018 when trumpeter and vocalist Paul Schneider teamed up with guitarist Hannes De Kassian. Their shared love for jazz and funk led them to perform in clubs, bars, and wineries across Sonoma and Marin Counties in California’s North Bay Area. However, like many artists, their momentum was halted by the global pandemic in 2020. Their debut album, Funkalypse, which was released in the summer of 2023 marked a brand new chapter for the band and as the world emerged from lockdown, The Heard Eye transitioned from a studio project to a live powerhouse.
