Hi Magdalena, thank you so much for being with us today! Your latest EP, the brilliant “Signature of Soul” is such a great release that showcases not only your incredible talent but also your artistic maturity and versatility. We are thrilled to know more about your artistic journey so, let’s start from the very beginning; When did you first discover your passion for music?

I discovered my passion for music at a very young age. When I was a little girl, I enjoyed performing for my family, especially when friends came over. At the age of 12, almost by accident, while observing a rehearsal of one of the bands, I felt my heart beat faster, and I knew that this was exactly what I wanted to do in life.

Your latest EP, “Signature of Soul,” has been receiving a lot of praise. What was the inspiration behind this project?

The ‘Signature of Soul’ project is a return to my roots, a reminder of where my journey in music and singing began, which is why it’s so important to me. It brings me back to myself, to my soul, to the times when music was more organic. It’s also the fulfillment of my dreams of reaching a larger audience beyond the borders of my country, especially in the USA.

Can you walk us through your songwriting process? How do you typically approach crafting a new song?

The process of creating a song is quite diverse for me. Some ideas come to me in the car, some during walks, and sometimes in the shower. I joke that it’s the place where my favorite songs were born. Then comes the moment when I need to focus on the technical side of the song, such as finishing the melody, writing lyrics, considering production, and arrangement, which usually takes a bit more time. I really enjoy the moment when the song starts to take shape, and sometimes it’s hard to believe that it came from my heart, my head, my need.

“If Loving You Is All I Ever Do” is one of the standout tracks on the EP. Can you share the story behind this song and what it means to you personally?

“If Loving You Is All I Ever Do” is a beautiful song composed by outstanding songwriters such as Ken Hirsch, Gordon Pogoda, and Gloria Sklerov. I remember the first time I heard this song, I cried because the emotional aspect of it resonated deeply with me. I think it was one of the first songs that was given to me by other songwriters because until then, I had been writing songs for myself, and this opened me up to telling a story written by someone else. The song speaks about a beautiful love that is enough above all else. Its words resonate deeply with me.

What do you hope listeners take away from your music, particularly from the songs on “Signature of Soul”?

For me as an artist, the message, the value that the listener can take away after listening to the album, after the concert, is very important. I am aware that music helps us get through difficult situations in life. I experience it myself. I have also received many thanks from my listeners whose songs have helped them through difficult times in life. I would like my music to have that power.

Your vocal performance on the EP is truly remarkable. Can you tell us about your vocal training and how you maintain such a powerful and dynamic voice?

Thank you very much for the kind words. I strive to make my voice my business card and take care of it as much as I can, so that it serves me for a lifetime. Proper vocal exercises and muscle training are very important. It’s like working out at the gym, but with smaller muscle groups. The most important thing is perseverance and consistency. Vocal hygiene is also very important, such as getting enough sleep, eating properly, and staying hydrated. I try to live fairly healthily, although sometimes the rush of life makes it difficult. But it’s worth remembering all of this because my voice is the only thing I’ve invested in in life.

Can you share any memorable moments or experiences from your time performing on the popular TV show “Name That Tune”?

This program is my second home. And the people working there are my family. You could say that most of my stage and television experience was gained through 15 years of working on this show. When I parted ways with television after all those years, I felt like a part of me stayed in that place, but I knew it was time to spread my wings and focus on something completely different. However, I don’t rule out that in the near future, there will come a time when I will be a more frequent guest on this popular show.

How has representing Poland in Eurovision influenced your career and artistic journey?

It was a wonderful, rich experience, rich also in obstacles, but thanks to that, I learned a lot. It was definitely a lesson, a life lesson, a lesson in show business for me. This experience showed me that I am capable of achieving what I planned because Eurovision has been my dream for many years, but it also showed me my strength and that I am able to take on this task and meet it. Eurovision also opened up a window to the world for me. Many fans follow my career, and today I received tremendous support from them, for which I am very grateful.

Your single “Ready for Love” is another excellent release, can you tell us more about this song?

The song was written on impulse. I wanted to write an up-tempo song. Inspiration came to me in a very short moment when I came up with the melody for the chorus, and the titular phrase immediately popped into my head. The song ‘Ready for Love’ is very close to me because it both closes and opens a certain chapter in my life. It shows readiness for love, which we are not always sure of.

What advice would you give to aspiring artists who are looking to break into the music industry?

I would say never give up; it’s worth choosing your own path and walking it regardless of other people’s judgments. What matters most is perseverance. Being in show business is not easy, but this profession gives so much satisfaction that I think all the hardships are redeemed by those moments when we can be with the audience, when we can share our talent, when we achieve the goals we set for ourselves and the dreams that have always been in our hearts. These moments are priceless, so do your thing regardless of how many times you hear ´NO’.

What can fans expect from you in the future? Are there any upcoming projects or collaborations that you’re excited about?

Currently, we are focusing on recording more songs. We are just finishing one of them, which is scheduled for release soon. This is a very important song for me, so I am trying to take care of every detail. In April, we also plan to shoot a music video. Right now, we have started rehearsals. We are also working intensively on preparing for the concert tour, so it will be a very productive year for us.
