Tell us about the group and its members.
We are Seldom Fade. The band originally started as a pop/rock type of project. The band formed in the 2010s by our vocalist “Trent Pyror;” the band didn’t push too hard in those formative years and just was enjoying what we were doing locally and that particular style. After 2020 and the release of the EP titled Closure, the band ended up having some lineup changes, which brought new sound and vibes back into the project.
What made you decide to bring back the project to life?
After some lineup changes in 2020 or around that time, the group had some fresh blood and motivation. The band decided we wanted a change and started writing more towards our new style taking us in a more modern heavy rock direction. The newest members had more metal/metalcore type of backgrounds. Something the members individually liked but hadn’t really put in the band. The band did an entire rebrand around the new material. Bringing new songs, production, and imagery to Seldom Fade. Along with a new logo.
What was your inspiration behind the latest material?
There’s inspiration everywhere. People are always going through things and the world is always going through things. The new material focuses on topics from “Your past haunting you” to unfortunately very real-life tragedies. It comes from a very real place.
Tell us about the new single and music video.
The new single “All The Memories” is something we were stoked on in the demo process. We usually write some music and send Trent home with it and say “Ok Write vocals for this.” haha. When we got together the following week he showed up with this chorus that, when we heard it, we KNEW it was the single for this new EP and it was gonna be the video. It just felt right. We went into the studio with our producer (Danny Cullman) And he helped us capture what we were going for and helped modernize it a bit from the demo. The song is about dealing with things you’ve done in your past that you aren’t particularly proud of and kind of dealing with that. It’s something that we feel everyone understands. The music video was filmed and edited by Keith Del Rosa of “Scenematics” and He did an amazing job! We are very proud of it and the team we have around us.

What can fans expect coming next from Seldom Fade?
Fans expect the new sound you heard on our single to be across this entire EP titled “Rekindle // Revive” coming out on August 30th. We feel it’s a great modern hard rock EP and Definitely our best work to date. The influences range from different rock/metal subgenres and even outside of that on the EP. There are modern metalcore elements, blues elements, and even hip-hop and industrial elements as well. We are really stoked to share this EP with everyone and hope people dig it and respond.
Anything you’d like to share with us?
Pizza. Maybe some pizza. Or maybe fried rice. Totally kidding. We are serious in our craft and what we do but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We are very much chill guys who will talk and hang out with anyone. We definitely like to joke around a lot. We appreciate ANYONE who takes time to listen to our music or come to a show and hopefully enjoy it. Or completely hate it. haha.
What’s one of the best live concerts you’ve got to participate in?
Trent and Matt (bass) – We got to open for Trapt in 2016 and that was a great experience for us. This is obviously before they got canceled haha.
Rob (drums) – I got to play Inkarceration festival at the Mansfield Ohio prison in 2024 with my deathcore band “Killstreak”. It was an absolutely mind-blowing experience.
Paul – I was in a metalcore band with Rob back in 2015. We got to open up for Escape the Fate and hang with the guys and they were totally sweet to us. We had grown up listening to them.
