GET MONEY OVAall, thanks a lot for being with us today! Your music speaks directly to the mind and hearts of the listeners, and tracks like “Broken” and “Money Tree” are incredibly actual and genuine. We are thrilled to know more about your artistic journey, so let’s start from the very beginning. When did you discover your passion for music?

Thank you for having me; I discovered my passion for music as a child. I think I was around 3 or 4 when I first started singing Whitney Houston songs on the radio.

Your single “Broken” is one of those songs that convince from the first second to the last. Genuine and straightforward, your music frames our society like not many other artists can nowadays. Can you tell us more about this track?

Thank you. Broken is a song that I wrote a few years ago sitting in the bathroom of a studio apartment in Hammond, Indiana. It was just like the state of mind of my environment. Everybody was broken, man, I just had to write about it. I was like me sitting in my bathroom in a zone, listening to music, and it just came to me Broken Bottles, Broken Dreams.

Where do you find your inspiration?

I find my inspiration from life; everyday experiences inspire me.

Can you reveal what your creative process is? How does your music come to life?

I really don’t have a creative process. How I usually write is by just sitting somewhere alone, usually like my car or bathroom, and zoning listening to beats. Unless I’m in the studio and I got a record at that moment, then I’m writing on the spot, but usually, it takes me a long time to complete a song because I want it to be perfect to me. I have so much to say. I want to get it all out in the time I have on the song.

Are you planning any live shows anytime soon?

Yes, I’m definitely setting up shows for the fall, and I’m about to start touring around the US.

Another incredible track in your discography is “Money Tree,” a real gem of modern music! Can you tell us more about this release?

Money tree was a come up song. I was relaxing to the people with money, letting them know I’m coming for the money. I was in a different place back then.

What do you think about the most recent Rap and Hip-Hop music scene?

I think it’s terrible. What’s being pushed and promoted to the youth and to the fans is disgusting and despicable. There’s no music to uplift people. Everything is to bring you down and keep you chasing her imaginary fairytale lifestyle. We need more leaders and more rappers promoting and teaching prosperity, business ownership, and abundance without all the violence and negativity.

GET MONEY OVAall, your life experiences, dreams, and goals make you the incredible artist you are now. If you could travel back in time, what would you say to young Lucas making his first steps into music?

I would tell my young self to enjoy life. Do take everything so serious.

Not only are you an incredible songwriter and rapper, but you also are a successful entrepreneur. How important is it for your career to have a clear and wide understanding of the dynamics of the market you are in?

It’s vital to my success to know the ins and outs of the business because at the beginning and end of the day it’s all business and it’s all about the money.

If you could collaborate with one of the artists who influenced you the most, who would you like to share a song and the stage with?

I would have to say Jay-z.

Being a rapper is never simple; you have to dig into your life and emotion and turn it into lyrics, rhythm, and music that perfectly fit not only your world but also the world of those who resonate with your music and your life experiences. How important is it to you to be true to yourself and your audience, making no compromises and taking no shortcuts, as often happens in the industry?

All I can do is be myself and tell my story. Anything else would be generic. I portray my own life and my experiences in this life.

What are your plans for the future?

To take over the world.
