Every song on Camouflage is directly influenced by the stories in T.J. Gerlach’s book of fiction. Gerlach employed a writing technique called “die-cut,” using vocabulary from other admired works to shape his own stories, leading to a unique blend of voices. Sado-Domestics applied a similar method to their music, creating songs that either adapt Gerlach’s words or build impressionistic representations of the original tales. This innovative process results in a collection of tracks that offer both faithful adaptations and creative interpretations.
