Hi Jfons, thank you so much for taking the time to do this interview! We are thrilled to discover more about your music and artistic journey so, let’s start by talking about your artistic journey. Growing up in Loganville, how did your surroundings and experiences influence your music and shape the unique sound you’ve created?
Growing up in Loganville is cool but my greatest influence was the church. I was raised in a small town in Louisiana playing the piano at the age of seven creating my love for music and God. Loganville helped me open my mind to like all styles of music that were there, also New Orleans family roots in my grandmother’s singing background with Mahalia Jackson.
Your music has been described as unapologetic and raw. How do you channel such authentic energy into your performances and songwriting?
How I create: writing music comes naturally, it is raw, and unapologetic sometimes. It always depends on how I feel, sometimes on a passing voice but keeping it real. Remember music is a story not only about myself but also someone else’s life.
Your single “Can I Get A Minute” has an undeniable groove and Silk Sonic vibes. What was the creative process like for this track, and how did you bring those elements to life?
Yes, I agree; it’s a Silk Sonic groove! Should make you dance, rock your head, you can’t help but wanna turn it up saying “Everybody, get up!”
You’ve released several standout tracks like “Next to You” and “Rodeo Girl.” How do you approach maintaining your signature style while keeping each new release fresh and innovative?
Several releases, Rodeo Girl, Next to You (live Studio), let’s not forget Welcome to My World, song Slow it Down, reaching billion views not only domestically but internationally. But also my smooth side song that’s still gaining ground, You Got Me Baby. Yes, as a songwriter I never promised to stay in one lane, I write what I feel and play what I feel.

Your work often combines retrospective R&B charm with modern street styles. Who are some of your biggest influences, and how have they impacted your sound?
Rapper LL Cool J, the late Notorious Biggie Smalls, and Tupac mixing it with Marvin Gaye, Donnie Hathaway, Stevie Wonder. But coming into my own.
Collaborating with Narja Entertainment has been a pivotal part of your journey. How has their support helped shape your music and career so far?
Letting me create what I feel, which is different from major music labels that tell you how they want you to sound, even dress, putting you in a box.
As an artist with such a distinct blend of genres, what do you hope listeners take away from your music, especially “Can I Get A Minute”?
What the audience will take away from my music is real raw but genuine. Just stay around, I promise you will enjoy the ride.
Your catalog is growing impressively. Can fans look forward to a full-length album soon, or are there other exciting projects you’re currently working on?
First again, I thank all my fans for listening to my music and liking what I do. My team and I are working on new music for 2025 but also gospel music, songs like Nobody Buy You, and this is what I do, reaching out to all my fans. Also, I have a Christmas song, Christmas is my favorite holiday, and in 2025 a Christmas movie written by myself Jfons.

As an artist challenges will come; as I stated, in the music industry everyone is looking to follow, hope is at the top, and is trending at the time, but I’m a true R&B artist blending all styles of music God gifted to me. I’m not looking to be like someone else but I’m staying true to what I do.
