Hello Kingly T, thank you for being with us today! Let’s start with your latest release; your new single, “We Can Do It,” carries a strong message of self-belief and perseverance. What inspired you to write this song, and what do you hope listeners take away from it?

So often people give up on going after their goals when the challenges seem to become overwhelming, firstly we need to have the mindset for success. With hard work we can make it a reality, yes we can do it if we put our minds to it. This song is dedicated to motivating people when they lose faith in themselves.

You blend reggae with pop, R&B, and world music in your sound. How did you develop this unique fusion, and what influences have shaped your musical style over the years?

I have experiences in playing other genres of music so bits and pieces of influence come out in my creation also I work with some good producers who like myself are open-minded, so we just make music and let it take us where it goes.

You worked with producer Benjamin Jackson on this track. Can you tell us about the creative process behind “We Can Do It” and what it was like collaborating with him?

Benjamin Jackson has been my main producer for many years, he knows my sound best and how to compliment it with music. We work well together. He is the producer who will not let a song leave his studio before he is completely satisfied with it.

Your music often carries themes of empowerment, unity, and social consciousness. How important is it for you to use your platform to spread these messages?

My goal is always to be a positive influence on people. The Almighty has blessed me with a musical talent, which provides a great outlet to reach the masses, it gives me great pleasure to know that people listen to my music and feel uplifted.

Reggae has always been a powerful tool for cultural expression and activism. How do you see your music contributing to this tradition?

I have been influenced by the reggae greats that spread conscious messages through music. Bob Marley is the King, also many others have been carrying the torch globally. I will fully contribute my portion as much as I am able to.

Your upcoming album is set to be released this spring. What can fans expect from this new project in terms of themes, sound, and overall direction?

From my upcoming project, people should expect more conscious messages also love songs with everything being positive. As for the sound, it will be underlined reggae but no borderlines, we will go where the music takes us.

You’ve traveled the world and embraced diverse cultural influences in your music. How have your experiences across different countries shaped your artistry and songwriting?

I started writing seriously after I started to travel and visit other countries and experience other cultures. My vision has expanded. I have learned to look at life from different angles. I have become more open-minded and this comes out in my songwriting.

Positivity is a central theme in your music. In today’s world, where challenges are plenty, how do you stay motivated and continue to inspire others through your songs?

I have a strong spiritual connection, I go within my inner self and feel motivated, taking myself away from the worries of the world. I always strive for spiritual advancement which is of much more importance to me than material wealth. If I can motivate others, then I am very successful.

“We Can Do It” is an anthem for chasing dreams. What personal experiences have fueled your determination to pursue music and stay true to your artistic vision?

I was born in a musical family so it did not take much for me to gravitate to playing music, even though I did not take it seriously until later in life. My life has taught me many different experiences. Before I started to seriously write songs, I was beginning to write an autobiography, but songs began coming out. It’s a great thing because my experiences could not fit into a single book.

Many artists struggle with staying authentic while evolving musically. How do you balance staying true to your roots while also exploring new sounds and styles?

I am a born Jamaican so my roots will always be reggae, but I have learned to expand and explore as I am that kind of person. Traveling has motivated me a lot.
